A Primer With Skin Care Benefits – Prime Objective Perfecting

The idea of a primer sounds good in theory. Having an extra something to keep your foundation on all day would be worth every penny. I have not found one that worked for me until now.

I have tried so many primers that did absolutely nothing for me. Sure they felt good. I like silicone based primers. They feel very silky and smooth. What I found is  my pores were more noticeable than if I just wore foundation alone. I found that my foundation disappeared by the end of the day.

For the record, I have dry skin that prone to rosacea. Most days I am makeup free. I just wear BB cream when at home. Lately, I have wanted a more polished look and that means wearing foundation.

The primers I have tried before came to me through samples. I have bought a couple on my own but gave on the idea because nothing worked for me. I finally found one that works for me. Prime Objective Perfecting Face Primer by Studio Gear is a multi-purpose primer. It combines skincare ingredients with a silicone base. As an added bonus, it helps “blur” the fine lines with optical diffuser.

Currently, I am using mineral powder foundation or a BB Cream. Sometimes I take a combination of approaches to cover my redness. I will use the BB cream
and top it with a light dusting of powder. I go very light on these products because I cannot stand the cake face.

I did my normal skincare routine for the day. I let my skincare sink in before I applied the primer. I love the texture of this primer because it is very smooth and velvety. I applied a thin layer  to my entire face. I noticed the blur effect right away. It dries clear. Then I added my BB Cream. The BB cream applied smoothly. After that, I just left my face alone.

My day was spent doing the normal activities. By evening I looked in the magnified mirror. My skin looked good. The BB Cream was still there with little fading. Normally it would be completely gone and my pores would be showing.

I found success from a BB Cream!

The next test was a mineral foundation. My face had become red due to the cold wind and indoor heat. I needed to cover it fast because I wanted to be presentable for guests that were coming over. I applied a heavier than normal amount of powder. I applied the primer before the foundation. To avoid that dry look, I gave my face a mist of water.

It was a busy day for me so I forgot about my face. At the end of the day, I was thrilled to see my foundation was still there. This has never happened before. Here is some information about the primer.

PRIME OBJECTIVE: To prepare the skin in much the same way as a painter primes a canvas… and so much more!

PRIME OBJECTIVE is a silicone based face primer that acts to “re-touch”, or visually diminish, imperfections in the surface texture of the skin. PRIME OBJECTIVE contains a sustained release liposome system with retinol that can help support cell turnover and reduce the appearance if fine lines and wrinkles, as well as a milk protein complex that can help to balance and protect the skin against environmental stresses. The “skin perfecting” effect of this state-of-the-art formula is further enhanced with optical diffusers.

Paraben-Free, Fragrance-Free, Retinol
