As the first month of 2017 comes to an end, I am pleased with my progress when comes to my health. Earlier in the month, I had a physical. It went well. My blood tests show my cholesterol is down. My blood sugar is good and my weight loss is good.
I made some changes in my to my daily routine. First of all, I have started walking. I have been lucky that our New England winter has been mild. However, on the days I cannot get out, I walk inside my house. I have three floors and two set of stairs that have challenged me.
When do not feel like walking, I ride my recumbent bike.
My goals for this month is to get in 2000 steps a day. I will raise the goal as I make progress. Eventually, I would like to get to 5000 steps a day or more.
Walking has really helped me with my monthly anxiety. I sleep better when I get some exercise and it curbs my appetite.
The other goal I have reached is getting my 64 oz of water a day. I try to get more in but if I hit 64 oz in a day, I am satisfied. My skin and digestion have improved tremendously. I feel energized and ready to take on the day.
In February, I want to continue with what I am doing and add other goals. Next month I am going to concentrate on my skin and hair. Both are in need of improvement.
That is it for now. Have you been sticking to your goals?
