Find Your Perfect Red Lipstick – Vintage Inspired
Red is a color I have not been able to wear successfully. I envy the woman who can rock a red lipstick like nobody’s business. Red gives you a movie star’s smile every time. I hope my post, Find Your Perfect Red Lipstick – Vintage Inspired, will give you a place to start.
I think one of the problems is that my lips are not proportioned. I have a thinning upper lip and a fuller bottom lip. My lip line is not defined. Some dark colors never look right on me.
Since I love anything vintage-inspired, I was attracted to Besame Cosmetics. The whole cosmetic line is a reproduction of popular shades of the past. The line is primarily red lipsticks. Carmine 1931 is my favorite. I love the vintage tube. It is made out of quality materials like the originals. It gives you the feel of a vintage lipstick.
Neutral orange-red, perfect for golden and olive skin tones. A semi-matte finish with one coat full coverage. The highest natural pigment content for a smooth, indelible, feather-proof finish. Enriched with squalene, vitamin C and aloe. Our vintage reproduction reds are the exact shades used by your favorite Hollywood starlets.
I was so happy to find this shade of red that I can actually rock. It is just the perfect color and intensity for me. It is a warm red, It works with my light-medium skin tone. The finish is a semi-matte that doesn’t leave your lips dry and I find this lipstick is long-lasting.
This is one of many reds available. Blue-Reds look good on cooler-neutral skin tones. Blue-Reds also make your teeth appear whiter.
If you do not know what color family you are in, a quick way to find out is ask yourself a simple question. “Do I look better in pink or orange?” or do I look better in gold or silver? Pink/Silver = Cool, Orange/Gold = Warm. Of course, you can get yourself a professional analysis to know.
You can find at Besame Cosmetics or Sephora. Some shades are exclusive to Sephora. They carry a full line of makeup and vintage-inspired tools.
