Hard Candy Lash Ink For Inky Long-Lasting Lashes

Years ago Revlon made a Color Stay Lash tint. I absolutely fell in love with it. It made lashes dark and it looked much more natural than regular mascara. Then like all good things, it was discontinued. I have found a few brands that make a similar product. One brand was over $35 dollars and the other had terrible reviews. I was about to give up when I found a Google listing for Hard Candy. Hard Candy, a brand I used in the 90’s. Their nail polish (and long with Urban Decay) started with bold colors with crazy names nail polish trend that is now no longer “ground-breaking” today.

Hard Candy is sold at Wal-Mart online and in stores. Since I live in a small town with a small Wal-Mart I wasn’t hopeful I was going to find it. Turns out my store carries the . It only comes in one color, black. I got the last one.

Toughen up your lashes by wrapping them with Hard Candy Lash Ink Lash Stain Mascara with its improved brush. This four-day saturated stain will result in a pampered look without the hassle of everyday mascara application. Defy tears, pools, rubbing and the rain during your four days of effortless allure.

Hard Candy Lash Ink Lash Stain Mascara:

  • 3x length and definition
  • Waterproof
  • Improved brush
  • Fine bristles evenly drench lashes

If you have tried a lash stain before, you know it can be hard to work with. They are wetter than regular mascara formulas. The brush is not like a regular mascara brush either. It is long and slim. I recommend you use your favorite mascara brush. Just save one from an old mascara and cleaning extremely well. Turns out for me, The brush that comes with the mascara, did a good job for me. My lashes are no longer long or lush. In fact, I am going to start using Latisse soon. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this lash tint. I curled my lashes and applied the last tint slowly. You must work with a steady hand. I found that you really need to brush this lash tint from roots to tips a couple of times to get a smooth application. It makes your lashes a little longer but not thick. Give it time to try before you add a second coat. It will also give you a tight line. An added bonus.

The Results

I was really impressed with the way it lasted. It wasn’t my intention to wear for days on end. A good test for me was going to the hospital to have some test done. I had no idea I would freak out during one of the scans I was taking (turns out I am claustrophobic). Tears were pouring down my face there were no black pools running down my face.  My lashes looked as fresh as they did eight hours earlier. My eyelashes stayed curled all day!

It does take some work to get the lash stain off. I used an oil-based cleanser and a wash cloth. I finished up with a micellar water.

There is another version of this lash tint. My store didn’t carry this  (it also comes in black). I am going to order it because I like brown-black mascara. The brush is different from the one above.
