To everything – turn, turn, turn
There is a season – turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

The Byrds

This is a little song I sing to my skin. I ask my skin cells to turn faster because over the years they have decided to slow down and dullness is left. In your youth you get to enjoy the smoothness and the glow, but as you start to age, it takes a bit longer to get that back and keep it.

My goal for my skin is to be able to hold off on any cosmetic procedure, get to the point where I can go barefaced, and age gracefully.

As I said in my last skin care post , have used up all of my samples and on hand skin care products. It is taking forever and I am not seeing results. I have purchased, low-high end products that do not deliver. I get seduced by buzzwords and exotic fruits, clays and other ingredients that come from a far away land….

This time of year, my skin gets really dry. My normal moisturizer doesn’t cut it anymore. As a result, my skin gets dull and my makeup looks cakey. In the past, I have used retinol products and have been pleased with the results. The only drawback for me was the price and sometimes they did not include a high enough retinol percentage to make a lot of a difference.

I mentioned in my earlier post that I was really pleased with my eye care products from InstaNatural. Now I can report that I have tried Advanced Action Retinol Moisturizer by  InstaNatural.

This product is more advanced in the others I have used in the past. It has proven ingredients that repairs and restores the skin.

From the website:

InstaNatural’s Retinol Moisturizer contains a robust formula of handpicked ingredients designed to transform older, damaged skin into a healthier and youthful appearance. Retinol is a powerful antioxidant derived from Vitamin A, one of the strongest and most trusted ingredients for anti-aging skin care. Once absorbed, Retinol is converted into Retinoic Acid, which starts working to help restore skin and diminish the appearance of sun damage and signs of aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, hyperpigmentation, rough texture, and more.
Vitamin C – another powerful antioxidant – works synergistically to aid in this process of battling early signs of aging, as well as repairing existing damage to promote healthier skin.
Simultaneously, Hyaluronic Acid, Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter and Green Tea deliver premium nourishment and hydration to keep your skin moisturized. This intensive moisturizing cream is the perfect addition to your regimen to restore and renew firmness, elasticity and thickness of the skin for a flawless and radiant complexion.

Key Ingredients:
2.5% Retinol
Vitamin C
Hyaluronic Acid
Jojoba Oil
Shea Butter
Green Tea

The first thing that caught my eye is the packaging. It comes in bottle with a pump. This in my opinion, is great for keeping your product sanitary. You get 3.4 FL OZ/100 ML. A little goes a long way and you have the option to use this morning or night. You can certainly use it twice a day.

I have to be careful when it comes to retinol products because my skin turns really sensitive in the winter. If you are not familiar retinol products, they can cause your skin to be more sensitive, especially in the sun so sunscreen is a must. Don’t be alarmed if you experience a little discomfort. With this product, the first day I felt some tingling, but after that, it went away.

My skin felt better after day one, but something wonderful happened after that, My foundation/BB cream looked better. My other moisturizer works better now too. My lines and wrinkles are much softer looking and the best part is the skin around my lips looks so much smoother.

I am still using my moisturizer on top of the retinol moisturizer because my skin is just that dry but if you have normal-dry skin, this retinol moisturizer will be enough. Add sunscreen during the day.

I think you will be pleased with this product as I am. Affordable skin care that works is such a great find.
