What's New In Beauty – February 2015

New innovations to help you get the most out of your cosmetics and tools

I was shopping on one of my favorite sites, Beautylish when I came across some new beauty tools I had not seen before.

Benjabelle has a line of brush trees that come in two colors and different sizes.  You can now hang your brushes upside to dry and by doing this, extends the life of your brush. It keeps water from getting into the ferrule.

The Brush Guard keeps your brushes in shape and are perfect for traveling. They will stay clean and protected. Available in different sizes to fit any brush.

Z. Palette is known for their custom palettes that lets you keep your single pots of makeup in one palette. If you buy the M.A.C. refills, then you know what I am talking about. Now they have come up with a tool that makes de-potting a breeze. No more broken nails or mishaps with sharp objects. This two-sided spatula helps you avoid injury and broken eyeshadow.

The Paw Palette is a mixing palette that goes around your wrist, making it easy to mix shades while working on a client. They come in a number of colorful styles. I love the Kitty Paw Palette (of course).

*tip: If you use a the new spray can foundations like Diorskin Airflash, spray a little on to your mixing palette, then apply with a stippling brush. This way you do not waste the foundation by having it fly all over the place.

I didn’t know you can sanitize your makeup. I thought once something was past the prime date, that is it. Now you can with Beauty So Clean. It takes 10 seconds to get rid of harmful bacteria with one wipe or spray. It doesn’t change the formula of your makeup.

All of these products can be found at Beautylish. If you spend over $50 on your first visit, you can get $10 dollars off your first purchase.

Let me know if you have tried any of these items.
